The tenth edition of the IN Residence workshop will take place in Turin from October 4th to 8th, 2016. The investigation and the research will be based on the topic IMAGINATIVE RITUALS. More information about the programme and the designers involved will be announced soon.

@ Milan Design Week 2016

The ninth book of the “IN Residence. Design Dialogues” collection, published by Corraini will be launched on the occasion of the Milan Design Week. The book features works by designers Ferréol Babin, Jonas Edvard, Germans Ermičs, Gionata Gatto, Sabine Marcelis e Jólan van der Wiel and narrates the days of the thematic workshop “Visible Invisible” during which the designers have been working together with selected students developing a critical opinion on the theme of the investigation.

VISIBLE INVISIBLE

VISIBLE INVISIBLE is the title of the research that the ninth edition of IN Residence will explore in the next Workshop, hosted in Turin from October 7th to 10th 2015. The protagonists of this event, invited to establish a dialogue with a selected group of students, will be the designers Ferréol Babin, Jonas Edvard, Germans Ermičs, Gionata Gatto, Sabine Marcelis e Jólan van der Wiel.

THE READING RITUAL

“IN Residence Collectables” is the new spin-off of the IN Residence project dedicated to the production of “exploration devices” in order to stimulate a reflection on the relationship that we establish with the objects surrounding us. The objects will be designed over time by a selection of the IN Residence workshops’ protagonists. “The Reading Ritual”, the first object, it’s the pilot project designed by Barbara Brondi & Marco Rainò.

Milan Design Week 2015

The new two books of the IN Residence’s series published by Corraini will be presented as a preview on the occasion of the Milan Design Week at Ventura Lambrate, via Ventura 6, from April 14th to 19th. The two books, feature an overview of two workshops, “Today Was Tomorrow” and “Resononce Tuning”.

ADI Design Index 2014

IN Residence Diary #5 Little Daily Wonders has been included in the ADI Design Index 2014 which is the publication of ADI, the Italian Association for industrial design, that collects, year after year, the best of Italian design put into production, selected by ADI design permanent observatory.

IN Residence @ Operae

A meeting to present to Operae’s audience the IN Residence project. Barbara Brondi and Marco Rainò introduces a dialogue with the “guest designer” protagonists of the eighth edition of the workshop entitled “Resonance Tuning”. “TODAY WAS TOMORROW” a video dedicated to the recent involvement of the IN Residence project at La Biennale di Venezia will conclude the presentation.

RESONANCE TUNING

The eighth edition of the IN Residence workshop will take place in Turin between the 8th and the 11th of September 2014. The main protagonists of this event will be the designers Faberhama, Laureline Galliot, Os & Oos, Julie Richoz, Marjan van Aubel e Philipp Weber.
The general theme of this year’s workshop “RESONANCE TUNING” gives an opportunity to develop a research on how the objects and spaces that surround us are perceived by users.

IN Residence Workshop #7
@ La Biennale di Venezia 2014

The seventh edition of the IN Residence workshop will take place between the 9th and the 13th of September 2014 in the Swiss Pavilion curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist set within the “Swiss Summer School” program. The main protagonists of this event will be the designers Antonio Aricò, Atelier NL, Daphna Laurens, Itay Ohaly, Brynjar Sigurðarson and Studio Swine as well as a selected group of students from the Design Academy of Eindhoven, the ECAL Lausanne, IAAD Torino, IUAV Venice and Politecnico of Torino.
